Auf Wiedersehen, Dreieich!

The meeting in Dreieich is over, thank you all for the wonderful time! Unfortunately, it was pretty cold in Germany again, but this didn’t stop us from visiting Biblis and Worms. The students and teachers attended many international workshops which concluded in a presentation of results and plans for the future projects.

Next Comenius Meeting in Dreieich

Our next meeting is going to take place from 01.02. - 03.02. in Dreieich and is hosted by the Heinrich-Heine-Schule. There will be altogether fifteen schools involved and multiple workshops will be offered. One of the high points will be a visit to the famous old Roman town Worms.

We are looking forward to a great experience!

Are You Ready for the Great Egg Race!?

“The Great Egg Race” is a contest in which the students from our schools build vehicles which carry one fresh hen's egg of at least 55g as far as possible. In doing so only the energy conserved in one elastic strap can be used.

The race of the finalists takes place during the Comenius meeting at the Lycee de L’Europe in Dunkerque from 4th October – 8th October 2011.

The world record is 16 meters, can we break it?

Au revoir, Saint Jean de Braye!

Sadly, the meeting is over. Discovering the history of various technologies together was a great experience and great fun for all participants.

Learn more about our activities and findings in the meeting reports of the Heinrich-Heine-Schule and the ZLF.

A visit to the Technoseum in Mannheim

The history of technology discovered 60 students and 15 teachers from 4 European countries in the Technoseum in Mannheim. The visit of this museum was one of the highlights for the students and teachers from the partner schools in the Comenius project “Man and Machine”. The guests from France, the Netherlands and England were introduced in the development and function of several historical machines by students from the Heinrich-Heine-Europaschule in Dreieich.
